Vol. 348 No. 11

Written Answers. - Dublin Car Parking.

549.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason car parking regulations are not enforced in the vicinity of College Street Garda Station, and furthermore if he is aware that every day traffic congestion is caused in this area by cars illegally parked in the vicinity of the Garda station as much as three deep.

Limerick East): A detailed statement on the parking problem at Pearse Street Garda Station was made by the then Minister for Justice in reply to Parliamentary Question No. 25 of 18 February 1981. As was stated then, the problem admits of no easy solution. I have been informed by the Garda authorities that they will continue to make every effort to ensure that parking outside the station is restricted to what is necessary and that double or treble parking is avoided.
