The youth employment scheme makes grants available for the employment of young people on desirable community works of a type which would not otherwise be undertaken in the normal course at the present time.
All applications from golf clubs or other groups are considered on the merits of the project proposed in relation to the scope of the scheme. An important consideration is whether or not the project could be carried out by the organisation concerned from its own resources.
