The Department of Finance do not directly employ office cleaners. Conditions of employment and rates of pay for office cleaning are determined between cleaning employees and their employer, who is a contract cleaner. The contractor has provided details of the rates of pay currently in force; these rates are not less favourable than those which, it is understood, are commonly being paid in the contract cleaning industry.
