I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that on the basis of the available information, the tax-free allowances appropriate to deduction of tax in accordance with Table D would be excessive in this case and, as a consequence, inadequate deductions of tax under PAYE may have taken place.
The inspector of taxes is at present reviewing this case and, when that review is completed, the taxpayer will be informed and any necessary adjustment in his tax liabilities will be made.
