asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the proposals his Department and the IDA have for the provision of much needed industrial employment in each of the following towns in County Kerry: Waterville, Cahirciveen, Kenmare, Dingle, Killarney, Rathmore, Killorglin, Castlegregory and Sneem.

The IDA have also assisted in the establishment and expansion of several companies in these towns such as Irelanda Fashions Limited in Cahirciveen; the recently approved Sneem Woollen Company Limited in Sneem; Pioneer Radiant Products and Piercan Limited in Kenmare and Killarney Electronics in Killarney.
Questions regarding industrial development in Dingle are the responsibility of the Minister for the Gaeltacht.
The IDA will continue to make every effort to secure further industrial projects for County Kerry. In September 1983 the IDA appointed an assistant regional manager to their new office in Tralee to accelerate industrial development in the county.
