It is a matter for individual housing authorities to plan and initiate housing schemes in their functional areas, having regard to established needs and to the capital allocation available for their house building programme.
Housing authorities, including Wexford County Council, were invited by circular letter from my Department on 15 March 1984 to submit their claims for capital allocations to finance new works which they hope to start during the remainder of this year.
