There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with this case which concerns an extensive road and bridge project and which involved the holding of a public local inquiry over four days into objections to five compulsory purchase orders for the acquisition of some 176 acres of land and an application for a bridge order for the construction of a new bridge over the Shannon at Clonbrusk, Athlone. I will give my decision on the proposals at the earliest possible date.
