asked the Minister for Education if the procedures involved in the payment of student grants to those students who receive grant aid from the European Social Fund vary as between third level colleges throughout the country.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 737 and 738 together.
Uniform general procedures in connection with payment are prescribed by my Department in relation to the European Social Fund training grants scheme in technical and technological colleges. Payment of the grant may be made on a weekly or monthly basis at the discretion of the college authorities.
