Since these applications were received and are being processed by Meath County Council under a pilot scheme of devolution of housing grants, payment of the grants is a matter for the County Council. However, in view of the difficulties which have arisen in the two cases referred to, I am arranging for early discussions between officers of my Department and the county council with a view to resolving the matter.
