Vol. 350 No. 2

Written Answers. - Mitchelstown (Cork) Water Supply.

526.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite the granting of £100,000 to Cork County Council for an alternative water supply for residents on the southern side of Mitchelstown, as they are at present dependent on a daily supply from a tanker, due to the unsuitability of piped water in their area.

The initiation of proposals for any necessary improvement to the water supply is a matter for the sanitary authority. No such proposals have been received from the local authority in this case.
