Vol. 350 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Donegal Water and Sewerage Scheme.

555.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment if a further allocation of £100,000 can be made available to Donegal County Council for the implementation of small water and sewerage schemes in the county in the current year in order to offset expenditure incurred in connection with the water pollution which occured in Ballyshannon.

I have already made a capital allocation of £150,000 to Donegal County Council in respect of their small schemes capital works programme for 1984 — an increase of £77,000 on the outturn figure for 1983. There are no funds available to me for assistance towards current expenditure of the type referred to by the Deputy.
