The provision or improvement of bonded warehouse facilities is not a matter for my Department or for the Revenue Commissioners, but for the commercial interests concerned. However, the prior approval of the Revenue Commissioners is necessary for the establishment of new warehouses or for alterations to existing warehouses.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that there are no outstanding proposals from traders for improved bonded warehouse facilities or for additional such facilities in Galway city.
