Vol. 350 No. 5

Written Answers. - Motor Insurance.

30.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the number of complaints received by the monitoring committee of the Declined Cases agreement regarding the inability of young drivers to obtain motor insurance cover.

In the period since its inception four cases involving young drivers were referred to the Declined Cases Committee on age grounds alone. Some seven other young driver cases were referred to the committee but these involved other considerations such as claims record or convictions under the Road Traffic Act.
