In the absence of a grant application and a report from the Department's inspector, it would not be possible to say whether a house improvement grant would be allowable in an individual case. Detailed information in relation to such grants is set out in Memorandum H.A. 2A/82 compiled by my Department and a copy thereof is being furnished to the Deputy.
