Vol. 352 No. 5

Written Answers. - Access to Leinster House.

162.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has considered any proposals for improving access to Leinster House for disabled persons, particularly in relation to the Dáil public gallery; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is access for disabled persons to Leinster House both at the Kildare Street and Leinster Lawn sides of the building. The provision of access for disabled persons to the public gallery would be very costly and structurally difficult. There are arrangements for facilitating the disabled within Leinster House and I understand that they work satisfactorily.
