There are no funds available to my Department at present whereby capital grant assistance can be made available to projects of this nature. However, as indicated in Building on Reality 1985-87, the Government have decided that funds will be made available over the period to enable grant aid to be provided towards the cost of building recreational and community facilities. The terms and conditions governing the allocation of grants under this scheme will be announced shortly and interested groups including the Firhouse Community Council will be invited to make application to my Department for grant aid.
