Vol. 353 No. 2

Written Answers. - Staff Recruitment.

261.

asked the Minister for Health if employment agencies are being used by his Department to recruit workers on a full-time or part-time basis; if his Department or any semi-State body under the aegis of his Department have used agency staff in the past 12 months and for what grade of worker, i.e. manual, clerical, technical; and if he will state in respect of such staff over the last 12 months (a) the name of the agencies; (b) the number of staff hired; (c) the cost per head to the State and (d) the total amount paid by his Department.

No employment agencies are currently being used nor have they been used by my Department to recruit workers on a full time or part-time basis in the past twelve months. I am not in a position, at this stage, to outline the position in relation to semi-State bodies under the aegis of my Department and I will be in contact with the Deputy when the information is to hand.
