Government policy on the future of arterial drainage is at present under review. A comprehensive report on the matter, prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works is being considered by the Department of Finance with a view to the submission of proposals to the Government. I am not, therefore, in a position at this time to say what Government policy on arterial drainage might be in the future.
