Both the Industrial Development Authority and Shannon Development are vigorously promoting Nenagh for suitable industrial development. The IDA has been working very closely with the liquidator of Castle Brand Limited and a number of interested parties have been identified in an attempt to achieve a takeover of the operation. While no definite proposals have emerged to date the IDA will continue its effort to secure a replacement industry for the town.
Shannon Development has recently fitted out its local field office in Nenagh as a small business centre which will have full information resources including computer facilities for people researching small business ideas.
