asked the Minister for the Environment when a decision will be made on speed limits in an area (details supplied) in County Galway.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 487 and 488 together. Reviews of speed limits are conducted periodically by local authorities in accordance with guidelines laid down by my Department.
Proposals arising from such reviews are submitted to me on a county by county basis. There are no proposals currently before me from Galway County Council for the revision of speed limits in County Galway.
