As the Deputy is aware the programme for decentralisation of Government offices to provincial areas has been shelved. However, it is proposed shortly to erect a temporary building on the site in Ennis originally purchased for the decentralisation offices, in order to meet the immediate needs of the Department of Agriculture. Later, it is intended to centralise all Government offices in Ennis in a new permanent structure on the same site. It is not possible at this stage to indicate when work might get under way on this project.
