The number of teachers expected to qualify in 1985 is 30 in metalwork technology and 36 in wood and building technology. It is not possible to quantify the precise number of vacancies for such teachers at present. It is estimated, however, that while the number of teachers being trained will bring about a significant improvement in the position, there is a need for an increased number of such teachers.
