No proposals have been submitted to my Department for the payment by Donegal County Council of a special contribution in respect of this scheme. The group has been asked on a number of occasions by my Department and Donegal County Council to formally renounce the FEOGA grant of £13,974 allocated for the scheme in July, 1977, under EC Regulations 17/64 and 45/64, in order that the allocation of higher grants payable in the Western Region with FEOGA aid under EEC Regulation 1820/80 can be considered for the scheme.
