Vol. 357 No. 4

Written Answers. - Appeal of Transfer Order.

508.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin is being refused an extension of time under section 13 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979, to appeal as she has been unable to do so up to now due to illness.

The relevant provision requires that the appeal should be lodged with the Minister for the Environment within the period of 21 days beginning on the day of receipt of notification of the making of the transfer order. There is no provision for the extension of that period on any grounds. As the appeal in the case mentioned by the Deputy was not received within the statutory time limit, it is not open to me to make a determination in the matter.
