Vol. 357 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

532.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason headage payments have not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway in the past two years.

A decision on whether or not the person named is eligible for beef cow grants under the disadvantaged areas schemes and EC suckler cow premium schemes for 1983 and 1984 will be made as soon as he has agreed with the Revenue Commissioners the amount of his off-farm income for income tax years ended 5 April 1983 and 5 April 1984. He will be paid his calf premium and calved heifer grants as soon as the batches which include his payments are processed.

533.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when headage payments, calf subsidy and in-calf heifer grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named has already been paid cattle and sheep headage grants under the 1984 disadvantaged areas schemes and also calf premium and calved heifer grants. He will be paid 1984 EC suckler cow premium after the six months period for retention of cows specified in that scheme expires for most applicants in April 1985.
