asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount received from the EC in 1984 under the scheme of aid to small milk producers; and how it was allocated.
Ceisteanna - Questions. Oral Answers. - EC Milk Scheme.
Ireland received 6.5 million ECU, £4.7 million, under the 1984-85 EC scheme to aid small scale milk producers. The aid was allocated through their creameries and dairies to eligible individual producers on a graduated scale varying from a minimum of £16 to a maximum of £165. Details of the scale are given in a tabular statement which I will circulate with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:

Is the Minister satisfied that the maximum amount of this fund is getting to the small milk producers?
There is nothing to lead me to a contrary belief. My officials tell me it is getting to the people who are entitled to it. All payments for last year have been received by the producers.
