I am committed to financing the cost of the Oranmore by-pass in accordance with proposals submitted by Galway County Council and approved by my Department. These proposals do not make any provision for an over-pass at Moneymore Road. On the basis of the information submitted, I am advised that the construction of an over-pass at Moneymore Road would not be justified at present.
