I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that there are arrears of value-added tax outstanding in this case which represent liability declared by the trader on his returns. If the trader is unable to discharge his liability within the period of time already afforded to him, the Collector General will be prepared to have the matter discussed further with the trader with a view to reaching a mutually acceptable arrangement.
