Payments under the 1984-85 ewe premium scheme and the 1985 sheep headage scheme have already been made while payments under the 1985 cattle and beef cow schemes in the disadvantaged areas and also under the EC suckler cow scheme have commenced and will continue over the next two to three months. As regards the EC calf premium scheme, grants will be paid after 15 December 1985 when all calves born in the period 1 January 1985 to 15 June 1985 have reached the age of six months.
