The sum due to the person named under the 1985 calf premium scheme is being withheld at present in the context of the recovery of arrears owed by him in respect of Land Commission annuity.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when ewes were inspected by his Department's officials for the 1984 ewe premium; and when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid his ewe premium for 1984.
Sheep inspections were carried out by my Department between mid March and mid June 1985. The person named was paid £294.80 on 27 March 1985 by way of advance and £2,277.98 on 6 September 1985 in respect of the balance of the 1984-85 EC ewe premium. In addition, he was paid £1,542 on 31 October 1985 under the 1985 sheep headage scheme in the disadvantaged areas.
