The question of providing a new fire station in Ardee is a matter in the first instance for the fire authority, Louth County Council. While proposals for a new fire station at Ardee have not been submitted to my Department, an application by Ardee Town Commissioners for my consent to the disposal of land in Ardee, to Louth County Council for the purposes of providing a new fire station is being considered and I will be giving a decision on this proposal as soon as possible.
