A preliminary report on the Lough Mask regional water supply scheme stage II which examines the possibility of extending the water supply to Ballinrobe, Kilmaine and Shrule and other areas, was submitted to my Department by Mayo County Council in October 1985. This report is being examined and while I am not in a position at this stage to say when a decision can be taken on the preliminary report, there will be no avoidable delay in dealing with the matter so far as my Department is concerned.
