I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment on 14 August 1985. On 5 November 1985, a tax repayment claim on the grounds of unemployment was submitted to the inspector of taxes. The claim will be processed as soon as possible. It will also be necessary to review the taxpayer's liabilities for the years 1982-83 to 1984-85, inclusive. If tax is found to have been overpaid, the appropriate refund will be made.
