A responsible officer has been appointed and an Irish Development Committee has been established in my Department in relation to the Action Plan for Irish 1983-86. Details of the Department's programme for the remainder of the plan period are set out in Bord na Gaeilge's report, 1985-86. My Department is also in touch with the Central Statistics Office, the National Museum and the Public Record and State Paper Offices in regard to the enhanced development of Irish in these agencies which operate directly under the aegis of my Department.
