The amount allocated in grants to the group was £10,000. To date £7,000 in grants has been paid to the group and £1,394 is being paid to Galway County Council in respect of road restoration. The final amount of grants due for this scheme will be determined and any outstanding grants paid when certain aspects of their grant application have been clarified by the group.

Payment of the final instalment of grants established to be due on this scheme was made on 14 March 1985. However, following representations from the organiser the total grant allocation made to the group is currently being re-examined with a view to establishing whether there is any further entitlement to grant for the group.
