asked the Minister for Justice the number of prisoners serving life sentences who have served more than ten years in prison without being transferred to Dundrum, without short term release of any sort granted to them, and without any tentative release date being set for them; and if two prisoners (details supplied) are the only prisoners in the above category.

Limerick East): There are four prisoners still in custody who have served more than ten years of life sentences; have not been transferred to the Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum; have not been granted any form of temporary release and have not had tentative release dates set for them. The prisoners referred to by the Deputy have not yet served ten years of the life sentences imposed on them.
