Vol. 362 No. 5

Written Answers. - Refund of Expenses.

64.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received representations from the Tallaght Community Council, Tallaght, County Dublin, requesting a refund of the expenses incurred by the community council in connection with a proposal for town commissioner status for Tallaght, County Dublin; and if by reason of the new administrative arrangements proposed for County Dublin, the expenditure by the community council on this application, withdrawn at the suggestion of his Department, can be refunded to the Tallaght Community Council.

I have received representations from Tallaght Community Council concerning the refund of expenses incurred in applying for town commissioner status. There is no provision in law for the recoupment of expenses incurred in formulating an application of this type nor are there any funds available to me for this purpose.
