One hundred and thirty-two extra teaching posts, in all, were sanctioned under the section of the Programme for Action in Education dealing with disadvantaged children. Fifteen of these posts were allocated to vocational schools, 25 to other post primary schools and 92 to primary schools. Applications for such posts were received from 14 vocational education committees and posts were allocated to 11 of them.
