asked the Minister for Education if she is aware that there is no metalwork teacher to take the metalwork class at Scoil Eanna, Kilronan, Aran Islands, County Galway, and the action she proposes to take in this matter to ensure that leaving certificate students in metalwork will not be discriminated against.
An appeal was received by my Department from the Galway Vocational Education Committee in relation to an appointment to the post in question. The appeal was considered by my Department and a decision on the matter has been conveyed to the committee.
