Applications under the scheme for grants to voluntary bodies in the social services area were received from the organisation concerned in 1984 and 1985. A grant of £5,000 was made available to the organisation in 1984. However, in 1985 it was not found possible to make a grant available due to the high volume of applications received. The scheme for grants will continue in 1986 and the appropriate advertisement will be placed in the national newspapers next month at which stage it will be open to the organisation concerned to submit an application for a grant.
