I have not replaced the chief executive officer of the Hospital Joint Services Board. A management consultant has been appointed to the board for a period of one year with effect from 1 August 1985. The consultant is charged with examining the measures necessary to return the board to profitability and with implementing those measures. The cost of this arrangement to my Department to date has been £5,681.37.
