In 1985 the North Eastern Health Board was able to provide only £40,000 for the adult dental scheme for the entire health board area. In view of the long waiting lists for treatment in counties Cavan and Monaghan the £40,000 was expended in full in the Cavan-Monaghan community care area. The figure for expenditure on the scheme in County Cavan alone is not available.
