I am simply not in a position to provide the additional funds which would be necessary to provide a full obstetric service at Roscommon County Hospital and I would indeed question the viability of introducing such a service considering that full consultant staffed obstetric services which are capable of catering for Roscommon mothers are already available in the Western Health Board area.
