Vol. 363 No. 1

Written Answers. - Fermoy (Cork) Footpaths.

92.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make funds available from his Department for the laying of new footpaths in Oliver Plunkett Hill and MacCurtain Street, Fermoy, County Cork.

As the streets in question form part of the network of national roads, primary responsibility for the preparation of proposals for the improvement of the footpaths rests with Cork County Council. No such proposals have been received in my Department and accordingly, the question of providing a state grant for the work does not arise.
