asked the Minister for Health if, in view of the circumstances, he will arrange for the issue of a medical card to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if he will arrange to expedite the matter.

Eligibility for a medical card is determined solely by the chief executive officer of a health board. Accordingly, in this instance, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board, with a request that the board examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

asked the Minister for Health if he will allow a medical card to issue in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who is finding it very difficult to make ends meet as two of his children frequently require medical attention.
