My Department has been negotiating with the authorities of Kilcornan national school, County Limerick, in relation to a grant towards the cost of extending the school in order to make provision overall for four classrooms and a general purposes area. The school authorities have requested that provision be made for an additional classroom. The enrolment trends are being reviewed at present and a decision in the matter will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible with a view to the completion of the architectural planning of the project. I am not in a position at this stage to say when the project may commence.
