asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the need for single parent family houses in County Donegal; and if in view of the very serious need for the immediate rehousing of many families in this category, he will indicate the steps he proposes to take to remedy the situation.

It is a matter for each housing authority to formulate a house building programme to cater for the specific needs in their areas including those of single parent families. In providing capital allocations for the 1986 housing programmes full regard will be had to the up-to-date assessment of needs in each area.
