As already announced by me, I have dispensed with the need for prior inspections in the case of valid applications under the 1985 house improvement grant scheme received in my Department on or before 25 February 1986 where first inspections had not been carried out by that date. If the person named has already submitted a valid application she will receive a letter of approval from my Department by 10 March 1986. As advised in the general announcement, work should not be commenced until the notification is received from my Department.
