I do not propose to redeploy the housing capital provisions made in the 1986 Public Capital Programme either to or from the local authority housing programme. As is normal practice, the need and demand for capital under each of the housing programmes will be carefully monitored throughout the year and the respective provisions may be adjusted to ensure that resources are deployed as effectively as possible.
