The anticipated population for the Ballyroan - Ballyboden - Knocklyon - Templeogue area is approximately 30,000. The Eastern Health Board, in line with its policy to provide major health centres per 30,000 population and in line with the proper planning of neighbourhood centres, has reserved a site of approximately two acres for a health centre and day nursery at Ballyboden. Outline planning permission has been obtained for this development.
Acquisition of the site and commencement of building will take place as soon as resources permit allocation of the necessary capital funds.
